I am a professional artist living in Richmond, Virginia.
I have always been a maker. My early career was as a graphic artist, moving to fiber arts about 10 years ago. Along the way working as a silversmith and beader, relishing the freedom to explore techniques, media, textures and colors. I incorporate hand felting, bead weaving, wirework and fine silver. Over time I have focused on making decorative objects, favoring color and playfulness in my creations. I make small vessels and sculptural pieces, some with armatures, allowing me to work larger. I use fine silver to “cap” pieces and continue to meld felt, beads, metal and other materials in new ways.
Happily driven to refine my skills and explore new media and techniques, I continue to study with nationally and internationally acclaimed fiber, bead and metal artists.
